I don't like to complain or complain about things, but seeing how many people have referred to the guest house "Līčkalni" quad bike advertisement, I want to tell you about my experience in this recreation complex.I contacted the owner Edgars Zēveli by phone a couple of weeks ago to ask about the possibilities for a small group of friends (6 people) to relax in the guest house, enjoy the sauna and go on quad bike trips the next day.Everything was good - spoke beautifully, sounded interested in customer comfort and left a positive impression.The first suspicion that something was wrong arose when I called a couple of days before and made sure that the reservation was valid and no changes had been made, because when I called one of the phone numbers listed on the website, a woman (probably the manager) answered - yes, everything is ok, the reservation is active. But safe is not safe, I also called the owner himself, and then the accusations started that I had not come to the place to look at the premises in advance (which we had not specifically agreed on), so the reservation may have been canceled, but we agreed to call in a few hours, where then the owner will take a look in the planner and will try to offer something.We called, they offered other rooms than the ones we had talked about, but okay, a little thing - they sent pictures, we agreed.20.01.2018 we arrived shortly before 18:00 in the evening and were there until 23:00.They welcomed us, showed us the rooms, and then the most interesting part began.- We asked about the starting time of the quad bike ride and the host had already changed it from 11:00 to 9:00. A little thing, but still. Somehow we managed to reach a compromise for a 10:00 start.- It seemed strange that the use of each fork and plate should be coordinated with the owner, but we laughed at that.- Also lighting the fireplace for a more cozy atmosphere required crisis management. We talked for a long time while we persuaded, and when it was lit, they gave us wood for about 40 minutes, and we didn't wait for the next one after a repeated invitation.- We had talked over the phone about using the game room (where there is billiards and possibly something else), which the owner promised to show, but it didn't happen, because suddenly "the only key to the room was lost".- Since initially there were not enough beds for each individual, we agreed that a separate bed and a couple of sets of bed linen would be brought to us, but within 5 hours it did not happen (the host's comment was simple, because he answered repeated requests that: "You already have your own there is no relationship, you can sleep in several beds together'').In the end, after repeated calls to fulfill the agreement, the owner started yelling at us, starting the text with (I quote): "If you don't like something, then collect your belongings and get the hell out of here!" (followed of course by a whole a sea of profanity)Of course, our mouths widened at that, because as if talking about elementary self-evident things, which the owner has committed to fulfill and it has not happened for several hours, the backlash to repeated invitations was as follows.The next day, he sent a text message with a picture of a member of the company and the text "I wanted to order a monument". I wonder what that meant...threats?Hoping for a nice evening in the company of friends, we were treated with brutal rudeness and left the premises before midnight.If you plan to go to this place, think about whether such negative emotions are necessary in your life :)We were also given neither a check nor a receipt for the money we paid. There was no contract either. Well, maybe not important this time, because the money was returned.A security deposit of 200 eur/piece was also suddenly demanded for the quad bikes - everything is self-explanatory, but it would hardly be possible to get that money back without breaking anything.
